An Ohio company based in the northwest corner of the state founded in 2013. Our main focus is infrared inspection for preventative and predictive maintenance for industrial, commercial, utilities and residential. The use of an infrared inspections not only helps increase reliability but will also assist in reducing energy cost and maintenance costs. As part of our program we also offer testing for the effects of motor shaft currents. These induced currents greatly reduce the life of your motor bearings.

OMI Infrared, LLC is owned and operated by Craig Preston. I am a Infraspection Institute Level III Certified Thermographer, and have a decree in Electromechanical Engineering.
Over the years I have worked for a Construction/excavating contractor, a plumbing/heating contractor, and an insulation contractor, all serving commercial and residential costumers. I spent numerous years as an industrial electrician/maintenance technician and several years as an electrical controls technician. For 17 plus years I spent with a municipal utility system. Responsibilities included managing a power plant with 4 fossil fuel generators. My primary focus on reliability of the generating units that ranged in size from 2.5 megawatts to 19 megawatts. I was project manager of the rehabilitation of a 5 megawatt hydro electric plant and the construction of a distribution substation. During this time I was also the operations manager of the entire utility. Beside power production, the utility consisted of electric distribution, water treatment/distribution and a telecommunications system
